No sunshine for Bayer Munich in DFB Cup.
Bayern will travel to Hertha on Wednesday evening for the DFB leg-16. As the last year’s Bundesliga title winner is set to face Hertha, Bayern Munich could be without their captain Manuel Neuer. And Hertha has more than just home advantage on their side.
Kick-off: 8.45pm CET/7.45pm GMT/2.45pm ET
With a thumb injury, Bayern Munich won’t be taking any risk putting Neuer at the post. Strikers; Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are both battling their respective injuries. As Frank and Robben are set to miss the clash, Robert Lewandowski has to take things on his own.
For Hertha, winger Javairo Dilrosun will be on the bench. With a hamstring injury midfielder, Mathew Leckie is possible to miss the match as well.
Hertha have already beaten Bayern Munich once this season and we can expect a fabulous show at Hertha on Wednesday. After a 3-1 debacle by the hands of Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern has a tough job to get back on form. As well, Hertha also ended in a defeat on Saturday, losing 1-0 to Wolfsburg. This is Hertha’s second home defeat of the season.
Hertha: Jarstein; Stark, Lustenberger, Rekik; Lazaro, Grujic, Maier, Plattenhardt, Duda; – Selke, Ibisevic (c)
Coach: Pal Dardai
Bayern: Ulreich; Kimmich, Süle, Boateng, Alaba; Sanches, Martinez – Müller (c), Goretzka, James; Lewandowski

The German Cup may be the only possible silverware in Bayern’s closet this year, as they trail Borussia Dortmund by seven points in the Bundesliga league table. It’s a one way for Bayern Munich.
Wednesday’s game will be this season’s first appearance for Ulreich in the DFB Cup. After missing the previous games, it’s obvious Ulreich will have a huge pressure at the post. Hearth might have great chances on the opposition goal post.
Footybite Prediction: Hertha 1 – 2 Bayern Munich
