Mercurial Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed following United’s win against Chelsea that he could still leave the club this summer.
Pogba played an integral role in the Red Devils’ victory against Chelsea. Constantly on the move with and without the ball, Pogba orchestrated most of United’s attacks and even got himself an assist for Marcus Rashford’s second goal.
Paul Pogba reveals question marks exist over Old Trafford future
Speaking to the press in the aftermath of United’s victory, Pogba revealed that there are big question marks over his future.
However, he also stated that as long as he’s a United player, he will give his all for the badge and play at a high level.
“I am always good when I play football. I am doing what I love, it’s my job. I will give the maximum every time I will be on the pitch. Now, we know there have been things said. Time will tell. We remain still on this big question mark.
“I am at Manchester. I am having fun with my team-mates. I want to always win the matches. I will always give everything when I am on the pitch.”
Pogba unwilling to force a move out of the club
Earlier this summer, Pogba revealed that he’s looking for a new challenge at a different club, although he refused to hand in a transfer request.
Since then, the World Cup winner has been linked with a whole host of clubs. Juventus were keen on bringing him back to Turin. However, no formal bid was made and the move collapsed.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, were willing to offer £27.6m plus James Rodriguez in exchange for Pogba’s services. However, the Red Devils turned that offer down as they are not interested in a swap deal.
With the transfer window for English clubs shut, it’s unlikely Pogba will secure a move away this summer as United would be unable to sign a replacement for such an important player.
