Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez could be on his way out of the club, with several teams interested in his services.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had confirmed earlier this summer that Sanchez was a part of his plans and that he would remain at Old Trafford for the season.
However, he has since gone on to state that quite a few teams have expressed their interest in signing the Chilean and that he could be gone by the end of the summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms Alexis Sanchez could leave
Speaking to reporters after Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Wolves last night, the Norwegian said:
“Well, there’s still a couple of weeks left of the transfer window and there is a chance… some clubs have shown interest in Alexis, so we’ll see what happens. Can’t update you more than that.”
Reports in Italy have suggested that Sanchez is close to completing a loan move to Inter. The Chilean will fly to Italy later today to complete his medical.
Sanchez to re-unite with Lukaku at Inter?
It is unclear what the exact terms of the loan agreement are, although Inter will be expected to pay most of Sanchez’s wages.
The former Arsenal forward is the highest-paid player at the club and United would be keen to rid themselves of his wages.
Sanchez has endured a torrid time at Manchester United ever since joining the Red Devils from Arsenal in last season’s January window.
He has managed just 5 goals in 45 appearances for the club and has been plagued by poor form and injuries.
As a result, he has been on the lookout for a move away to reignite his stalling career. At Inter, Sanchez will re-unite with former teammate Romelu Lukaku who completed a £73m move to the Serie A club on Deadline Day.
